Dakshin Kashinagar, Pathar Pratima, 07.11.2022: A friendly football match was arranged by Dakshin Kashinagar High School between two inter-classes yesterday on Tuesday. It was the final match of seasonal contest between classes IX and X. The match started at 3pm in our school playground in the presence of rest of the students, teachers and other local spectators.

Our sports teacher Amit Dey conducted the final match with two other teachers who were playing the role of linesmen. He blew the first whistle for entry of the teams in the field at 2.50pm. Few minutes later the teams came into the field one by one and took a part of the field each. They spent few minutes warming up. Then two captains were called to come to the center-half where the referee was standing for the toss. Captain Nitu of class IX threw the coin upwards and captain Bishu of class X called 'Tail'. The coin tossed for a while in the sky and came it down to the ground with 'Head'. So, captain Nitu won the toss and decided to start from the southern part of the field. For it, they exchanged their halves and every player took position.

The referee made the two goalkeepers aware and started the first half just at 3:00pm. The supporters were divided into two groups. Yet, most of the supporters were in favor of class IX. The game was going on with the attacks and counterattacks. The supporters became so much excited too. They were thoroughly enjoying. Suddenly they burst out with loud glee when a player named Sujeet of our team nearly reached the goal box of our opponent team. But, they calmed within a moment as their defender, Subrata brilliantly tackled and snatched the ball away. Thus the game continued with several exciting moments. The game remained goalless until mid-break.

The two coaches corrected mistakes the players committed in the first half and encouraged them to go forward according to their strategy. Now, the second half was started at 4pm.

Within first few minutes of the second half of the match we conceded a goal because of our high defensive lineup. Yet, there was no chance to belittle their achievements. We created a lot of chances but faltered to score a goal. Therefore, class IX won the match and was awarded the trophy. However, a great enjoyable match that was full of attacks and counter-attacks was presented by two teams.
