Three Brave Children were Awarded

One day three brave children were busy collecting green mangoes by a railway station. The children were very poor and they used to live in a nearby obscure village. The children named Tapan, Bikash and Souvik were not so educated. Poverty weaned them from school, otherwise, they would not have roamed about in order to search for food here and there all day.

Like other days in the Summar, they were gathering mangoes around trees by a railway track. And suddenly Tapan saw a crack in the track. Tapan exclaimed," Oh my God! Look my friends, there is a crack in the track." The others said, "An accident might occur any time." Tapan assured, "Of course, you're right." "What should we do now?" said Bikash. Souvik said, "It seems a train is coming right now."

The three brave children leaned over the track and listened to the fast rhythmic clatter of a train coming this way. Their faces turned pale and they looked at each other with anxiety. They all got tense. But Bikash thought out an idea and tore his redshirt into three pieces. Souvik said, "It is a mastermind idea." Each of them took a piece in hand and started to wave continuously. They did not leave the track even.

the story of bravery

The driver of the train saw this and sensed that there was certainly something wrong. The driver pushed the break with great force and the train stopped. He got down and came to the three children for the query. The three children explained the problem in detail. The driver only looked at them and blessed them. He worshipped them in his mind for their bravery. He wrote down their names and addresses.

The next day, the three children were awarded by the railway authority. Besides, the station master, the locals and the chief of the village encouraged the three brave children a lot for their act of bravery.

Moral: Always be alert and think deeply.
