Suggested Titles:

A Monkey Makes Two Cats Fool

Two Foolish Cats and a Cleaver Monkey

There was a good friendship between the two cats. They were out in search of food. Suddenly one of them found bread in a bakery shop. The other one picked it up and they went to a safer place. Each of them claimed to get the larger share of it.

One argued that he had discovered it first. The other one put a consent that he carried it to a safer place. So they started to fight over it. Hearing a noise behind a bush, a monkey came trotting.

Seeing them fight, the cleaver monkey put in an appearance and humbly suggested settling their dispute. The two cats agreed to it. The monkey intentionally broke the bread into two uneven sizes and offered them.

But none of them wished to take the smaller piece. So the dispute continued. The sly monkey again took the charge of befitting the pieces equally. This time he ate a portion from the larger share and it remained littler. They refused to take.

Thus the monkey pretended to make equal and ate the pieces completely. Then the cats jumped at the cheater monkey. But it ran away with. The frustrated cats went away to search for food as they were still hungry.

Suggested Moral: Be aware of a cunning person.
   Or,                       Greediness leads to misery.
