Read the following passage and answer the questions given below :

We use water for different purposes. We collect from various sources. Chicken is water for washing hands at school. For household activities we get water from well. This water is clean and safe for drinking. A gardener waters his plants. He gets it from ponds. Water from wells can also be used for purposes like cooking, drinking, washing and bathing. 

                             Activity: 1

Make a list of the various uses of water. One is done for you :

i) Washing hands 
ii) Cleaning clothes
iii) Taking bath
iv) Cooking meals
v) Draping walls and floors
vi) Cleaning utensils
viii) Making earthen pots

                              Activity: 2

Fill in the blanks using the correct form of Verbs (or Doing words) 

i) She loves to play in the field. (love /loves) 
ii) We walk to school every day. (walk/walks)
iii) I hear the footsteps of someone. (hear/hears)
iv) Our teacher teaches English. (teach/teaches)

Write four sentences about what you see in the picture :

The picture depicts a coastal village. A fisherman is going out to fishing. Two palm trees are standing on the rive bank. There are two houses afar.
Or
This is a coastal area. The horizon lies behind some trees at a distance. A fisherman is returning home from fishing. His house is seen few steps away. 
Or
This is a coastal scenery. The fisherman is anchoring his boat by the bank. Two palm trees are standing there. A pile of dry straws is installed beside two mud houses.
